Who it serves

Lawyers and legal teams taking their first serious step with AI.

The task

Run the same fictional assignment through both platforms: a client-instruction note, a short document set and an approved example of the desired output. Define the assignment, the permitted sources and the form of the deliverable; ask each platform for a first draft; inspect both against the source pack and correct what doesn't stand up.

The exercise

Prepare an initial matter briefing for a supervising lawyer: the client's stated objective, a factual chronology, missing information, and the questions that need professional judgement — drafted on one platform, checked against the other.

What you practise

  • —Writing a legal task brief that states objective, facts, sources and output form
  • —Supplying documents and standards so a draft has something to stand on
  • —Reading a draft against the source pack, line by line — on both platforms
  • —Knowing when to reach for each platform, and why
  • —Turning the method into reusable instructions and a review checklist
