Status of this notice
This is a preview-state notice (version 2026-10-v1). lawv is not yet taking bookings. The controller's full legal identity and contact details will be published before any bookings open. It should be reviewed by a qualified adviser before launch.
What we collect
When you register interest: your name, email, optional organisation, your role, the topics you chose, preferred format, timeframe, optional platform experience, and your stated goals. Nothing else. We do not ask for, and you should not send, client or matter information.
Why, and on what basis
To respond to your enquiry and tell you when the topics you chose are confirmed (legitimate interests / steps at your request). Separately, and only if you tick the optional box, to send occasional wider lawv news (consent). The two are recorded independently.
Who can see it
Only authorised lawv administrators, through a role-restricted inbox. Records are stored with our hosting provider. We do not sell or share your details.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while the topics you chose are in development and for a reasonable period after, then deleted or anonymised. A firm retention period will be published before launch.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your information, object to processing, or withdraw marketing consent at any time. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
